1) Our calculators require Adobe Flash version 8 or higher.
Click here to download and install this free tool if you don't see any calculator load :
2) To Ensure DEMO calculators run in FULL mode when logged in:
The DEMO calculators read a certain file tied to your login credentials, which is what offers powerful features depending on your login status. If you log in and still see DEMO, than your computer is still seeing the 'old' file stored in your memory.
To fix this, you have to make sure your browser loads the new version of the file when selected. Do this:
For Internet Explorer (other browsers similar)
Select Tools, Internet Options, and press the 'settings' button on the 'general' page:
Then select to check for newer versions of the stored page "Every time I visit the webpage":
3) General Calculator Use:
a) Calculators can be printed using the browser's 'PRINT' command
b) If you have Adobe Acrobat (full version), you can print to PDF then email to the office for easier processing .
c) Value boxes can be modified by double clicking then entering numbers, or by 'grabbing' and 'dragging' contents, useful for 'what-if' scenarios (what is the maximum height of a building before the pressure =50psf...)
d) Sliders and bars can generally also be grabbed and dragged to alter results, in addition to turning dials. Look for smaller, hidden bars in certain calculators which offer additional functionality for calculator use.
e) Some calculators enable the user to go back, review tutorials, and re-enter data, some don't and will require a screen refresh to start over.
There are many calculators in our system available for private use. We can also custom create a calculator to suit your job-specific needs. Contact the office for more information by clicking 'Contact Us' below.
