Biography / Curriculum Vitae (cv):
Chris Langley has been working as a structural engineer since earning his bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering at Florida Atlantic University in 2001. Despite having continued with Master’s level coursework in the same program, he recognized that the need for consulting engineers in South Florida’s specialty construction industry far outweighed the demand for ocean engineering. While working with Frank Bennardo, PE, Mr. Langley played a critical role in many of the cutting-edge innovations that assisted architects, contractors and building officials with day-to-day engineering challenges. Although his core competency encompasses all aspects of structural design, Mr. Langley currently specializes in the design of everything from school walkway covers to various types of product approvals, as well as window, door and shutter installations throughout Florida. Mr. Langley has been instrumental in the development of Engineering Express: he currently serves as Senior Project Engineer, managing an average of 700 projects per year while sustaining 25% yearly revenue growth, as well as helping engineering interns to hone their knowledge and skills.
